Virgo Man

Now here’s a funny fellow for you. Sometimes this Mercurial male leaves a lot to be desired in the charm stakes. He can be a bit too blunt, and come over as cool and clinical, making you wonder what you’ve done wrong. But before you pen a protestation to me, remember that not all Virgo chaps are like this. Anyone with lashings of lovely Libra or leanings towards Leo in his chart will be much better at charming the birds off the trees.

But charming or not, these chaps usually look a treat. Lots of them have skins as smooth as silk, and as clear as a mountain stream, with not a spot to be seen or a pimple to be peeked. Being a Mutable sign means they’re usually on the tall side and, as Mercury keeps them slim, they can be the epitome of tall, dark and handsome. These men have lovely eyes, too usually hazel, they twinkle away like stars in the sky.

Clothes are important too, and the Virgo man likes to cut a dash. He’s often rather conservative, even when he’s being trendy, and doesn’t like to stand out like a sore thumb. It makes him feel uncomfortable. So he’s likely to lavish his loot on simple, sophisticated suits, in sedate shades. But he’ll liven them up with a terrific tie. Lots of Virgo men go nuts on natty neckwear, and wear ties smothered in spots. If unconventional Uranus is strongly emphasised, the Virgo vestments may bedazzle and bewilder you, as he turns up in the quietest tie you’ve ever seen and a sizzling suit!

Most of these Mercurial men appear slightly cool and some of them are decidedly distant. Virgos find it hard to commit themselves emotionally, because they’re frightened of losing control. They aren’t nearly as sensual and tactile as their fellow Earth signs of Taurus and Capricorn, because they express their emotions in a more moderate and measured manner, and Mercury makes sure they feel more from their minds than their hearts.

This can make them so frightened of emotional entanglements that even sex suffers, and becomes clinical. At times he will have sex just for the sensation. It’s the only way he can cope. He’ll trot along to a brothel, be whipped into submission, tickled to death, or trussed up like a turkey at Christmas, then amble out later, having forked out a few fivers.

Very often the Virgo man can’t get, or give, sufficient satisfaction from an amorous affair, because he finds it difficult to allow his affections to flow properly. He’s got to find a wonderful woman, full of fervent feelings, who can coax the caring out of him, and make him see there’s nothing silly in sounding sentimental.

Normally, it’s success all the way for a Virgo chap, where work’s concerned. This is an incredibly industrious sign, and a Mercurial man will always work hard to get where and what he wants. But that isn’t necessarily right to the top, because he’s not instilled with the astounding ambition of some of the signs of the zodiac. Instead he’ll be content to be a right-hand man, and will do best as a second string to someone else’s bow, rather than being the virtuoso Virgo in an orchestra of underlings.

Like all Mutable signs, this chap needs change and contrasts in his life, if he’s to keep his agile and alert mind firing on all four cylinders. Sometimes he can carry that to extremes, changing his mind as if he’s just out to spite you.

Because demonstrations of affection don’t come easily to him, the Virgo guy finds it difficult to be a good dad. He wants to be, but it’s hard for him to unbend. Sometimes he can be too disciplined a dad, and make a fuss about his kids not doing enough homework. But it’s only because he wants them to succeed. Exams can assume monumental proportions and his children will dread him reading their school reports!

Sometimes a Virgo dad will forget he’s not a headmaster. He’s got to realise that education isn’t everything, and that emotions matter more and once he’s learned that lesson, and put it into practice on every level of his life, he’ll be a far more fulfilled and feeling guy.
