Virgo Health and Relaxation

Hug a Virgo and listen to them shake rattle and roll, as a ton of tablets do the twist inside their tummies. Many Virgoans are mesmerised by their medicines, and can be martyrs to .every ailment under the sun, or habitual hypochondriacs. Some Virgos are almost part of the furniture in the doctor’s waiting room, and will trot along, come rain or shine, whether they’re ill or not.

Of course, not every Virgo is so medicine-mad, and can think of better things to do in bed than reading the latest Lancet, or a medical encyclopaedia. Positive Virgos will use their fundamental fascination for fitness by watching what they eat, and taking care of themselves.

Clever old vestal Virgos found out about high-fibre diets years ago, and rave about roughage. Virgo rules the bowels and all things abdominal, so these folk have to take care of this sensitive side of their systems. Even after a six-course supper, some of them will hurry home and bolt down a bowl of All Bran, just in case there should be a traffic jam in their intestinal tracts!

Although psychosomatic problems are the Piscean’s province, the polarity between these two signs means that a little of this can rub off on Virgos. These people are the worry bags of the zodiac, always trying to get everything as perfect as possible, and that includes their bodies. The tiniest twinge can become magnified beyond measure.

Mercury makes these Virgos as jittery as jumping beans. They can flog their delicate nervous systems to death, so they should try to relax every now and then, putting then feet up and reading a good book.

Virgos are not health conscious for nothing, and they should follow their feelings when feeding. The pictorial glyph for this sign is the maiden clutching a sheaf of wheat, and many Virgos follow her example by becoming vegetarians, or at least wolfing down whole foods. Simplicity is the key to success, and any folk who have overdone the grub will have ghastly gastric grouses.

Go round to a Virgo’s abode, and have butchers at the bathroom. When your eyes have recovered from the glare of the taps twinkling away, look at the bathroom cabinet. Do a steel superstructure and five wall-brackets support it? Peek inside, and you will see enough medicines to keep Boots going for a year!

Otherwise, to see the Virgo in your life being actively healthy, go out to eat together. Watch your pal sit down, after first inspecting the seat of the chair, straightening the knife and fork, checking the rim of the glass for smears, and brushing a few stray crumbs off the tablecloth. Your Mercurial mate will then refuses the roll, baulk at the butter, spurn the spuds, pick at the pudding, and mix mineral water with the wine. Make no mistake; this is a fastidious Virgo, all right!
