Scorpio Child

These children can be enigmas and leave one feeling in quite a quandary as to what to do with them.

Even though small, a Scorpio child will have the compulsive cravings for command, and the megalomaniac motivations of the senior Scorpio, and may try to get what he or she wants through manipulation of mothers and flattery of fathers and, especially if there is a strong Pisces in the chart, he or she may become expert at playing one parent off against the other. The Scorpio child can also become very jealous of brothers and sisters. If you have a Scorpio kid, and a baby on the way, make sure that your child doesn’t feel threatened or ousted by the new arrival. Reassure your child of the place he or she has in your affections and try to bring out the positive characteristics of your Scorpio child.

Equally, some Scorpio children can become envious of their pals if they live in larger houses or have more money or better toys. It is very important for you, as a parent, to nip these tendencies in the bud before they become deep-rooted. They will still be there, under the surface, but not as strongly as they will if they are left to grow unchecked. Otherwise, your Scorpio child may become spiteful and vindictive, and not very nice.

As you would imagine, Scorpio children can run up against sex at a very early age, so I strongly advise all parents to give them a good talking-to about the birds and the bees as soon as it seems necessary, but certainly by the time the particular kid has embarked on puberty. Otherwise, it could be too late, and you’ll be locking the stable door after the horse has bolted!

But until puberty arrives, the Scorpio child will be strongly influenced by his or her parents, so make sure that this power is positive. Once the Scorpio discovers what life is about, and the consequences of physical attraction, he or she could be in for a lot of trouble. Scorpios can make wacky teenagers and can need careful handling. As they are so emotionally motivated and with their hormones in turmoil all through their teens, to make matters worse young Scorpios can have problems coming to terms with their volcanic natures. They may even frighten themselves, let alone anyone else!

You might think that the minute a Scorpio reaches puberty, he or she will go wild, but some of them can have hang-ups about the whole business and find it difficult to cope. Remember that a Scorpionic obsession can mean love or hate, and some Scorpios will loathe sex.

If a Scorpio teenager suffers some sort of bitter experience physically, it can set him or her off on a very dire direction indeed. It can result in the Scorpio becoming paranoid, or it can poison every future relationship. For instance, a teenage party that turned into a drunken orgy might make some Scorpios believe that even a knees-up at the local pub could become a Bacchanalian bunfight.

Like Capricorns, some Scorpio children can be very attached to their grandparents and will almost be brought up by them. They can be very close to the older members of their family, and if one of them dies when the Scorpio is young, he or she will be extremely upset; this can often set the pattern for future phobias about death.
