Pisces Woman

These women can dream! Try accusing a female Piscean of floating along in a fantasy, and she’ll regard you reproachfully and say that you’re quite wrong, she’s a realist. Then she’ll go back to reading her spy story or romantic romp, or she’ll turn on the telly and sob over a sad film.

These women swoon and walk around in a haze of love. They tend to be at the beck and call of their partners, forgiving them their transgressions, and never causing rows. They hate unpleasant atmospheres, and would rather be walked all over, with footprints on their faces, than start a scene. After all, this is the sign of the saint, and saints have never had an easy time of it. They’ve always been burned at stakes or stoned to death and so Piscean women can be perfect martyrs. Being incurable romantics, they may be roasted on the spit of love, suffering in silence for the ones they love. Sometimes it’s inspiring. Other times it’s irritating.

But don’t forget that there are two types of Pisceans, and therefore two sorts of Piscean females. The first is the glamorous Hollywood woman, who is sophisticated and chic, yet a chameleon. Hollywood reached its heyday when Neptune was nestling in luscious Leo, the most creative sign, and gave birth to a charming confection. These women can lead a double life with no trouble at all. They have such a strong power of pretence that they can actually believe the webs of fantasy they weave about themselves.

Some Piscean women are so devoted to their partners that they couldn’t possibly live with the guilt they’d feel if they were unfaithful in any way. But they may still have fantasies, and need to dream about them, even if they never put them into practice.

Fishy females really are romantic, and they do adore their families and guys. But because of their intense idealism, which is even stronger than a Libran’s longings, they can find it very difficult to call a halt to a relationship when it’s over and done with. They hate to hurt people and, like Librans, will often sweep things under the carpet, rather than face them.

To look at a different kettle of fish, the other sort of Piscean woman will devote her life liberally to good works, helping in Oxfam shops, running Meals on Wheels from her shopping trolley, or looking after her invalid parents or her spastic child. She can be quite happy living with other people’s problems, and trying to solve them.

Because of her Piscean ability to empathise with other people, she makes a very good mother, and doesn’t flinch from the task. But sometimes she can smother her children in love, and will try to protect them to such a degree that they can lose their sense of individuality. Then when they face the real world all is lost it’s very different to the picture Mum painted. She can also find it very difficult to discipline her kids; telling them off can sometimes upset her more than them.

All Water signs can have troubles with drink, and lots of Piscean women turn to the bottle, following a trauma of one sort or another. Then they can drink sherry from dawn to dusk as though it’s going out of style.

Another dangerous period for a Piscean mother is when her children fly the nest, as they inevitably will. With her little fledglings gone she can slide into fantasy, and pretend that her children are babies again. There is an ever-present danger of the female Piscean slipping back into the silent, still waters of her own dream world. Buy a fishing-rod and hook her out.
