Libra as a friend
Life is just a bowl of cherries if you have a Libran as a pal unless you find one who gives you the pip!
Librans make perfect pals because they’re so open, outgoing and obliging. They’re great fun to be with and usually to know Librans is to love them.
If you plan to keep your pal pleased, make sure that you take him or her off to oodles of outings. Go to the theatre together, coerce your chum into coming to the cinema, drag him or her off to the disco and persuade your pal to a painting preview or a promenade in the park. Be prepared to be the one who has to tempt your mate out, because often Librans are happy to hide away in their harmonious homes, eating excessively and tittering at the telly. If you plan to keep your pal pleased, make sure that you take him or her off to oodles of outings. Some of the lazier Librans will be even more enthusiastic about going out if you can provide the pedal power. Sagittarians will willingly walk to Wales in Wellingtons, and Pisceans will paddle to Perth in a punt, but try asking a Libran to join you on a jog to Jarrow, and the answer is No way!
Should you decide to take your pal off for a posh nosh, instead of to a naff cafe, he or she will probably moan and groan about having to get ready. They have such problems making up their minds that choosing what to wear can take hours. But the finished result always looks wonderful.
When you’re the friend of a Libran, you’ve got to make sure your brain cells are fighting fit. Librans are mentally motivated, and they like their cronies to converse concisely and cleverly about a cornucopia of contrasting conundrums. It’s no good thinking you can get away with some wishy-washy words on the space race, for example. A Libran will expect much more than a mere murmur from a mate and may even take the opposite opinion to yours just so you can have a dynamic discussion. They love to hear both points of view. But before you get too hot under the collar, remember your pal may not believe a word of what he or she is spouting. It’ll just be a game in mental mastery.
Lots of Librans find it impossible to say no, because they hate to upset anyone. As a result, they’ll be quite incapable of refusing their nearest and dearest, best and the rest, anything and some Librans are so shocked at the thought of cancelling a date that they don’t phone, don’t write and don’t turn up!
Next time you go out to a dreadful dinner, a dismal disco or a rowdy party, try to spot someone with a round face and normally bright eyes who looks like a moping Matilda. Seen ’em? Well, that’s a Libran who’s been unable to refuse an invitation and is having a horrible time. Some Librans can be very put-upon as a result of their inability to say no, and can be unpaid nursemaids, chauffeurs, escorts and general dogsbodies.
So, if you have a Libran mate who always goes along with your suggestions, and spends hours when out with gritted teeth, take pity on your pal. Let your Libran choose what to do and then get out a good book. You might get half-way through it before your vacillating Venusian comes up with a suitable suggestion, by which time it will be too late to do anything but go to bed. Good night!
