Leo at home
There are no two ways about it. The Leo lair has got to be a palace, even if it’s a one-roomed residence on the wrong side of the tracks. But whatever it is, it’ll be spectacular rather than cosy.
The Leo is quite likely to use it as a way of entertaining pals and showing off. There’s bound to be the odd gold-plated objet d’art scattered about somewhere.
If a Gemini has a family heirloom, it will probably be buried under a mound of magazines. A Capricorn will lock it away in case it gets nicked, and a Virgo will wonder if it harbours any germs and douse it in disinfectant just to be on the safe side. But a Leo will build a special case for a family heirloom, and give it pride of place, so no one can fail to notice and comment on it.If a Gemini has a family heirloom, it will probably be buried under a mound of magazines. There’s bound to be a swanky feel to a Leo’s home. If the Leo has the loot, it’ll be bursting with all the latest appliances and they’ll all be arranged so you can’t fail to notice them!
Leos love to entertain, so the most important room in the house for them will be the dining-room. They’ll have the best China, goblet-sized wine glasses, and a couple of candelabras for good measure. In fact, the whole dwelling will be geared for gregarious gatherings. Leos make wonderful hosts and hostesses, and when you go to their homesteads, you’re bound to have a good time.
The Leo colours are all shades of the sun, so the home will be decked out in golds, oranges and yellows. Leos are also fascinated by fire, and will have gas fires with artificial flames and a gold surround.
Leos love the sun, and rich ones will have their own sun beds, so they can get a tan even in the depths of December in Dorking. You’ll see mementoes of their holidays about too, which will remind them of long sunny days in Spain, and take their minds off the rainy British weather.
Some Leos will have just the odd knick-knack, but others can go mad. Sometimes, the residence can resemble a cheap bordello, with leatherette love seats, mock-marble tables with fake filigree, and wall lights with red and gold tassels on the shades. Bits of ghastly gadgetry will abound, such as musical ice buckets and mirrored cocktail cabinets with neon lights, which flash on and off and give you a headache.
The positive, more polished Leo, with a bit of cash to blow, will get an interior decorator. They won’t care how it looks, as long as it looks good.
But however the Leo decorates, he or she will be very generous, and as you enter the Spanish-style hall, you’ll be offered lots of food and drink. If they serve you a sandwich, it’ll be on the best plates, so you can see how expensive they are and your drink, which should be on the large side, will probably have paper parasols floating in it, so that the minute you take a sip, one will get stuck up your nose.
This is a sign that adores animals, and Leos often keep pets for company. But whether it’s a cat or a canary, it will have to be pretty. A lot of Leos will choose to keep cats, because they understand them, but a surprising number go for dogs, too. Leo lads love Labradors and dote on Dobermans.
