There’s no business like show business’ is the Leo J. theme song. Entertainment is in a Leo’s blood, and if he or she can actually earn money from it. For instance, thousands of theatres and countless cinemas are run by Leos, to showcase the other Leos who are up there on the silver screen, or spouting speeches in the spotlight. Leos also excel in creative careers, and will be designers, painters, and film and television directors and half the pubs, clubs and cabaret spots in the world are led by Leos. In fact, you’ll find Leos anywhere that is glittery, and full of spectacle. They add razzmatazz to almost anything.

Even if Leo is organising the most sober and sedate soiree, he or she will hang tinsel everywhere, hire a big band, bring on the dancing girls, and really brighten up the dullest do.

Leos need to work in a profession that caters to their sense of style, if they are to be truly happy. If a Leo has a job that is a mite mundane, such as working in a tea warehouse, counting the packets, he or she may take on the role of amateur theatre director in the evenings. Anything to add zip and zap to their everyday existence.

The polarity between Aquarius and Leo will come to the fore when you compare their attitudes to the arts. Leo represents the theatre, cinema and night-club side of show business, whereas Aquarius is more concerned with the latest technical advances in television, video and all things futuristic.

Leos really do need to work in some sort of creative profession, if they are to feel fulfilled. They aren’t academic like brainy Virgos and clever Capricorns, as alert as Geminis or as practical as Taureans. Instead, Leos like to direct things, and be the ones in charge. Of course, it goes without saying that Leos make smashing stars of stage and screen, and will love being the leading lady or handsome hero. But they can be at the forefront of almost anything and everything they do.

A Leo may have a dreary job, but he or she will run the firm’s dance, collect for the Christmas knees-up, or organise a trip to the seaside with fantastic flair. Or it could be that your Leo is a budding Brown Owl or a mini Baden-Powell. Leos really are outstanding organisers; ‘I’m in charge is their motto.

Equally, if a Leo can’t be creative career-wise, he or she will be so at home. One Leo chum had a tedious time at work, finding her considerable creativity blocked. But her hobby was photography, so she submitted some snaps in a national competition and won! Now that’s a positive, creative Leo for you!

They don’t make terribly good politicians, because they can’t bear to be answered back! Usually they know how far up the ladder of success they want to clamber, and once they’ve reached their chosen rung, that’s where they’ll stay. Leos in the world of big business usually aim for positions such as honorary president. They prefer to be the figurehead on the ship of commerce, rather than the captain steering the vessel to victory.

Lots of Leos will slog away for years, and their only incentive will be the thought of a knighthood or being made a dame at the end of it all. Leos know they can’t be made king or queen, however much they may dream, so they’ll settle for the Order of the Bath and the House of Lords instead. One thing’s for sure a Leo will add lustre to any profession.
